For his movie Das Netz Lutz Dammbeck wrote letters with Theodore Kaczynski (source). These are scans of the authentic version of the Manifesto Kaczynski sent Dammbeck. (source)
Excerpts from the letters concerning the different versions:
"All published versions of the manifesto are incorrect, because they contain many serious mistakes. If you want to get a real version of the manifesto, I can deliver it to you."
"Each time someone transcribed the manifesto again, he has translated the mistakes of the Washington Post version and contributed some of his own mistakes so that the published versions have become worse and worse."
"You asked me why I haven't sent you a copy of the authentic version of the manifesto yet. But I don't have an authentic version. I have two photocopies of the original manuscript, but they are illegible in part. I have two very legible transcripts of the manifesto, both contain mistakes.
I am in the process of producing an authentic version of the manifesto by comparing the four versions I mentioned, but I don't have the time to finish the job ... Because I have to answer so many letters!" (source: Das Netz (01:49:15))
